Papua New Guinea (plus Brisbane, Australia) - August 2002

This travelogue describes my trip to Papua New Guinea, which was divided roughly between the Highlands (including the Mount Hagen Cultural Show) and the Sepik River area. On the way over, I spent a few days in Brisbane, Australia, so I wrote about that as well. I've broken it into a few chapters, largely to make it easier to read. Feel free to skip to the parts you care about.

Introduction: Why and How

Brisbane: The River City of Oz

Mount Hagen: Feathers, Skeleton Dancers, and Mud Men

Ambua: Wigging Out in the Highlands

Karawari and the Sepik Spirit: Sago and Shopping

The End of the Trip and a Few Concluding Remarks
